The FIMT was founded in the year 2002 by Professor K Pearlson MPT(AUS), MIMS(USA), MAIHP(USA), with the core objective of imparting education on the subject of Manual Therapy and hence empowering students in the process. It has now grown to an organisation of national importance and has received numerous awards along the way. We have a team of distinguished professional instructors who conduct integrated and intensive courses in Manual Therapy for students around India and the globe.

Professor K. Pearlson is the Founder and President of the Federation of Indian Manual Therapists. He is the consultant at Pearlson’s Pain Management and Wellness Center, Vijayanaga, Bangalore.
With a Master of Physiotherapy degree from the prestigious University of South Australia, he has further honed his expertise by obtaining a Certificate in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy from Curtin University in Perth, Australia. An Emeritus Professor from the Department of Physiotherapy at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Prof. Pearlson specializes in Manipulative Physiotherapy and Integrated Manual Therapy. His extensive knowledge and experience in treating spinal and peripheral joint conditions, along with his expertise in differential diagnosis for various neuromusculoskeletal disorders, make him a distinguished figure in the field of physiotherapy.
Beyond his clinical and academic contributions, Prof. Pearlson is deeply involved in advancing manual therapy practices in India. He has conducted numerous workshops and training programs for physiotherapists, helping them refine their skills in evidence-based manual therapy techniques. His dedication to education and innovation continues to shape the next generation of physiotherapy professionals, further strengthening the field both nationally and internationally.
